The Role 
This role provides support to the testing manager, the project manager, and the Commercial Business Support manager in order to deliver commercial projects that require development and updating. You will be part of a high-performing team working on innovative, measurable, and high-profile projects. 

 

Principal Accountabilities, Qualifications, and Experience 

  • To perform testing on commercial, multi-platform systems before delivery of new or enhanced functionalities to the live systems. 

  • To analyse and produce testing scenarios based on the project scope. 

  • To deliver testing requests, results, and recommendations to the testing manager ensuring deadlines are met. 

  • To coordinate the use of testing platforms and devices with the rest of the testing team. 

  • To help administer the traverse booking automation tool. 

  • Understand all the revenue systems for the passenger division and system interfaces especially for the booking process. 

  • Knowledge of all commercial business rules. 

  • To have a thorough knowledge of all commercial business rules and contribute to the implementation of new or amended business rules and to update accordingly. 

  • Log requests from internal customers for the ongoing management and improvement of commercial revenue systems. 

  • Analyse requests by collating information and simulating scenarios on the testing platforms. 

  • Evaluate the impact on existing business processes. 

  • Perform testing required before implementation of new or enhanced functionalities on any passenger revenue systems, ensuring deadlines are met to respond to the business needs. 

  • Report testing results to the testing manager within the defined timescale of the testing phase. 

  • Analyse and provide confirmation on the business rules to the IT department during the development of the system changes and upgrades. 

  • Identify, investigate, and answer all questions and problems encountered by internal and external users on the revenue systems maintained by the Commercial Business Support team and depending on the complexity and possible consequences inform and consult with the testing manager. 

  • Assist with live deliveries outside of working hours (twice a year on average). 

  • Excellent standard of education to A level (or equivalent). 

  • ISTQB certificate-foundation level in testing software is an advantage. 

  • Fluent English and the ability to communicate in French is desirable but not essential.  

  • Previous experience in systems support/Testing/IT environment is an advantage. 

  • Computer literate (excel, word outlook). 

  • Excellent interpersonal skills. 

  • Excellent organisation skills. 

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously.
