This is a senior, influential role with high visibility, offering the opportunity to shape standards, advise on critical decisions and work closely with regulatory authorities and technical leaders across multiple disciplines.

Job requirements

  • Interpreting regulatory, safety and interoperability requirements and translating them into practical, operational standards for Eurotunnel.

  • Prescribing corrective actions to address compliance gaps and reduce safety and operational risks.

  • Integrating and maintaining management system requirements in line with ISO standards, including ISO 9001 (Quality) and ISO 55001 (Asset Management).

  • Leading gap analyses between external regulations and internal policies, processes and procedures, working collaboratively with Professional Heads.

  • Supporting and influencing senior stakeholders by providing expert advice on operational and technical decisions.

  • Facilitating training, guidance and awareness activities to embed standards across the organisation.

  • Reviewing, updating and issuing formal standards to reflect regulatory change, industry best practice and lessons learned.

  • Acting as a credible internal reference point and representing Eurotunnel externally with regulatory authorities, certification bodies and expert networks.

Qualifications and Experience
Essential

  • A Master’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline.

  • Significant experience (typically 10+ years) in technical analysis, regulatory compliance, safety, risk approval or assurance roles.

  • Strong working knowledge of ISO management systems and international standards.

  • Experience operating in complex, matrix organisations and leading cross‑functional networks.

  • Confidence making and justifying decisions in high‑risk, time‑critical or commercially sensitive situations.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.

Desirable

  • Experience working with railway safety authorities or regulated infrastructure environments.

  • French language capability.
