Job description
Working within the Commercial Business Support team and reporting to the Testing Manager, the Commercial Business Support Tester is responsible for supporting the testing, validation and implementation of changes to Passenger Commercial systems. The role ensures that system developments, enhancements and business processes operate effectively and align with commercial requirements.
The postholder will work closely with the Commercial Division, MIS and other business stakeholders to support project delivery, provide user support, maintain business rules and contribute to the successful delivery of commercial initiatives.
Job requirements
Support the Testing Manager in preparing and maintaining documentation relating to system developments, enhancements and projects.
Develop, maintain and execute test scenarios and test strategies for system changes and new functionality.
Analyse test results, provide recommendations and ensure testing activities are completed within agreed timescales.
Investigate, validate and assess the impact of system enhancement requests and defect fixes on commercial processes.
Create user stories and undertake testing for new developments and bug fixes.
Identify, diagnose, record and communicate defects through to resolution.
Act as first-line support for business users, providing guidance and resolving system-related queries.
Produce user documentation and deliver training to support end users.
Work collaboratively with MIS and business stakeholders to ensure consistency and compliance with Commercial business rules.
Maintain and update transactional communications and website content as required.
Support the delivery of commercial projects and ad hoc business requests.
Develop and maintain knowledge of Passenger Commercial systems and processes.
Participate in production releases, including occasional work outside normal office hours.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential
Strong attention to detail with a methodical and organised approach to work.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships across multiple departments.
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
Flexible approach with the ability to adapt to changing business requirements.
Excellent written and spoken English.
A proactive and collaborative approach to teamwork.
Desirable
Experience of software, systems or user acceptance testing.
Knowledge of Jira, Xray or similar testing tools.
Experience working within an Agile project environment.
ISTQB Foundation Level certification.
Experience creating user documentation and delivering system training.
Knowledge of test automation.
SAP experience.
French language skills.
